When the average cost of college in America is $36,436 (Hanson), it’s no surprise that you might be feeling nervous about investing in college. However, here at New Hope Christian College, we are committed to you and helping you follow the call that God has placed on your life, and we don’t want you to be held back financially. NHCC is working to make college affordable by giving all students personal financial counseling, providing scholarships, and offering paid internship opportunities to committed students who are becoming leaders.
Navigating federal funding can be confusing, but our staff is here to help! Our team offers FASFA workshops to help individuals apply for federal funding even before they are students. Once you become a student, you will meet with a staff member one-on-one to go over your financial situation and choose your best options. Our staff is here for you. Students at NHCC have the opportunity to graduate from college free of debt and free to jump into ministry as soon as they graduate without the burden of student loans.
This dedication is why 100% of NHCC students receive financial aid or scholarships! The average student was awarded $8,656 during the 2022-23 school year. At NHCC, scholarship opportunities include our Ambassadorial scholarship, Jumpstart program, Preview Day scholarship, New Hope West internship, and work-study programs, in addition to donor-funded scholarships and other grants.
Our goal in helping students with the financial process is not to make college free. Instead, we recognize the importance of investing in what is meaningful. In 2 Samuel, King David had the option of giving God an offering for free. Instead, he chose to say, “No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God with that which costs me nothing” (2 Sam 24:24). When you are investing in something meaningful—such as your education—and giving it to God, your investment is worth every penny.
Your education is worth investing in, and we would love to help you make your educational dreams a reality here at NHCC.
