Dorm Life

Students residing in the dorms are to be in their respective residence halls each night Monday through Thursday 11 pm and Friday through Sunday by 12am. Lights out will be at the discretion of each dorm room. Everyone is asked to be courteous at all times concerning noise. 14 Quiet time begins at 10pm and ends at 8am.

Pets are allowed to visit campus provided the owner cleans up after the pet. Small, caged animals may be permitted in the dorms at the discretion of Student Life. If you have a specific concern related to what is or isn't allowed in your dorm, please check the student handbook below or contact Student Life directly at studentlife@newhope.edu and we would love to help answer any questions you may have.

NHCC is home to a very safe campus with a family-oriented environment. However, while emergencies are very rare, we highly encourage being aware of your surroundings and encourage caution. Our Resident Directors and Student Life team work together to keep the student body up-to-date and aware on emergency procedures from the beginning of every school year.

We have a cafeteria right in the heart of our campus serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday-Friday and to-go bags with premade snacks, meals, and goodies for the weekends. Students and staff order meals ahead of time through our meal-ordering forms. Meals are paid through a meal plan at the beginning of each semester. A 15 meals per week meal plan costs $2,400 per semester (updated for 2024-25 costs). Additionally, there is a kitchen area in our student-center and kitchen facilities in both the men's and women's dorms.
