New Hope Christian College

Practicums

New Hope Christian College students will serve alongside seasoned leaders, gain hands-on ministry experience and leadership, and intensive training while building community with like-minded individuals. Areas of training will include Evangelism, Edification, Equipping, and Extension. Receive real-world, hands-on ministry training and experience in a college that values intimacy over industry, encounter over entertainment, presence over presentation, people over position and Jesus above everything. NHCC will equip you to succeed in your chosen field through on-site practicum opportunities.

“NHCC courses not only give you information, but also the tools and applications needed to implement it. Their desire is that you do not leave that information in your notebook or your head but actually put it into action.”

NHCC Student, class of 2018

Evangelism

Communicating the Gospel in contemporary ways that reach the heart.

Extension

“Through the on-campus church, I have learned countless skills in a real-world setting in order to apply all that I learn in class.”

NHCC Student, class of 2023

See Our Students' Work!

This video is a cover of the song "Man of Your Word" by Maverick City featuring students and staff leading in the areas of dance, worship, audio, lights, cameras, and more!

This sermon from our lab church, New Hope West, shows one of our graduates, Jordin Valencia, working with one of our Pastors and using her God-given gift for communication to share God's work with thousands of people around the world.

At NHCC, we love bringing in professionals to work with our students! Check out this video to see how our students were able to work with professional musicians, video directors, singers, and more at one of our annual events at New Hope West.

This Schuyler Sister's parody was written and directed by NHCC graduate Talyn Moe while she was a Creative Arts student. Filmed by a professional video team, this was a great learning and mentoring experience for our creative arts students, and the final product was displayed at the launch of our on-site church, New Hope West.
This video showcases the skill and excellence of our Creative Arts team during their live performances at one of our Easter services at New Hope West.
Check out this video featuring our students and alumni, filmed and edited by our student video team in 2020 as a way to encourage people to grow close to God.

MENTORSHIP

In addition to learning skills, students also are assigned to small groups with staff and their peers where they can be mentored, prayed over, and guided on their walks with Christ. At NHCC, we are dedicated to ensuring that students do not just graduate with a degree, but we commit ourself to assisting students in their transformation of thinking, talent, and behavior as they learn to be more and more Christ-like.
