As we enter into the full swing of summer, I am able to reflect upon this past season of my life and prepare for the season that is ahead of me. Graduating from college this past May still feels surreal, and my time as a student these past four years at New Hope Christian College feels like it has come and gone in a blink of an eye. I couldn’t imagine what my life would be like or the person that I would be without the experiences and lessons that I have learned here at New Hope.
Along with the plethora of experiences and knowledge that I have gained have come great trials, tests, and tribulations, and without them, I wouldn’t be the man that I am today. There have been so many times where I have failed, cried, and have become so frustrated that I wanted to throw in the towel, but I remember how God has been faithful and brought me through each and every single one of those moments.
God’s faithfulness is so evident in the people that He has placed in my life. I am so thankful for the leaders and mentors that God has placed in my life here at New Hope. I would not be the leader that I am now If it weren’t for the God fearing leaders speaking into my life and constantly encouraging me. They believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself and because of that, I have matured in character, grown in my leadership, and have gained the confidence to step into the call that God has on my life.
One of the roles of leadership that I have had the honor of taking up is being the Middle School Overseer for our youth ministry at New Hope West. For the past two years, I have been able to take everything that I have learned both in and out of the classroom here at New Hope and apply it directly to our youth ministry, and the fruit of it has been so evident. We just camp off of our summer youth camps where 30+ students have given their lives to Jesus for the first time and 70+ students have rededicated their lives. In addition to this, over 20 of our students got Baptized just this past Sunday! God has been moving in the lives of our youth, and we are so thankful for the amazing leadership that has surrounded and come alongside us to equip and train us to lead our young people.
In all that I have been through this past season of my life as a student, I can look back and see how God has been faithful, and because of that, I can confidently step into this next season of my life knowing that God will still be faithful in every situation.

Amazing God story! So proud to be an alumnus of New Hope and to be the wife of this talented professor!
What a beautiful description of what God has done in your life. I have a similar life story that connects me deeply with God through my time at NHCC – keep it up, brother.
