Doing Life Together

It’s a new season, a new school year! We want to begin by congratulating the 17 new students who joined the New Hope Family. NHCC started off the Fall Semester with our New Student Orientation. It was a great way to get to know each individual. Throughout the New Student Orientation, the Student Life team scheduled activities such as barbeque gatherings at the New Hope Ranch, hiking up Eugene’s favorite hiking trail, Spencer’s Butte, and pool parties at a staff’s house. The Associated Student Body (ASB) team also led our Back to School Bash at the Student Center. This night was filled with worship, games, and s’mores.

Here at NHCC we value community and fellowship, and all-campus events led by Student Life, ASB, and our Resident Directors. Our heart is to create a safe space to grow in the knowledge of Christ, learn about one another, and bond through fun and good food.

Another way we create community on campus is through the Ignite Spiritual Formation (ISF) program. The ISF is dedicated to the student’s personal growth, spiritual growth, and discipleship. The ISF includes Devotions, Chapel, and Life Groups. This academic program exists to help our campus be unified under the Holy Spirit by His Word, worship, and mentorship through the Life Group leaders. Our Spiritual Growth Conference, another element of ISF, is at the end of this month. This semester we want to create the space to worship and allow the students to learn more about themselves through the guest speakers from Pure Desire Ministries. We are excited to continue to grow closer with one another for God’s Kingdom!
