Student life’s goal is to encourage students to live each day with purpose and intentionality. At New Hope Christian College, we intentionally provide opportunities for students to grow spiritually, physically, and relationally during their time here. During our Summer Internship, we are focusing on two main priorities: spiritual formation and community!
Spiritual Formation
- Morning devotions
- ‘Leading Ministry Teams’ taught by Pastor Aaron Cordeiro
- Corporate devotions on Wednesday mornings with our lab church, New Hope West
Community
- Summer Internship
- Strength & Conditioning
- Summer events for interns and staff: bowling, BBQ’s, weekly intramural sports (volleyball and basketball), hiking, and other off campus activities.
During the week, from Tuesday through Friday, our interns begin their days with 7 am devotions. Spending quality time with God is an important value in every Christian’s life. One way to grow in our walk with Christ is the important act of doing daily devotions. Interns are encouraged to use the SOAP method developed by our president Pastor Wayne Cordeiro and delineated in his book, The Divine Mentor. Another component to a Christian’s life is the stewardship of our physical health. We encourage this by having our students exercise on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Throughout the day they have allocated hours where they are assigned to specific areas across our campus to maintain and care for our facilities. Lastly, they end the day by breaking off into their fractals as they prepare for weekend services and upcoming projects.
