WOW- It has been an exciting fall semester for the athletic programs at NHCC.  God has been good!

The volleyball team ended the season on a positive note with a win over Pacific University (JV) with great students/staff support at Cordeiro Court.  The team was lead by three talented seniors- Alicia Hatzel, Samantha Clevenger, Kenzie Nortune.  Alicia Hatzel (Libero/Defensive Specialist) was awarded the NCCAA West Region 1st Team All-Conference honor along with being the FIRST EVER NHCC VOLLEYBALL PLAYER to be named NCCAA div. I 1st TEAM ALL-AMERICAN!

Trey Harbick represented the men’s golf team for the 2nd year in a row at the NCCAA National Tournament in Panama City, Fl.  Fellow golfer, Caleb Schwin, attended as well to cheer on and support his teammate.  Trey was just a few strokes short of qualifying for the final round at the tournament.  Despite not qualifying, teammate Caleb Schwin and Trey proudly represented NHCC and had a great experience!

The men’s basketball team has had the opportunity to play against some very talented teams this fall in non-conference play.  The team traveled by train to Havre, MT to play in a Thanksgiving Tournament.  The tournament included the below outreach for the players and coaches where they participated in serving a meal to those in need on Thanksgiving Day!

The mission statement for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner states: “The purpose of this project is to provide a free Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings to all who wish to participate: rich, poor, young, old, singles, couples and families. The spirit of the project is to bring our community together as one big extended family to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.”

The men’s basketball team recently played competitively against Portland State University to a tie in the first half 52-52.  Click here to read more about their outstanding performance as they finished up non-conference play and prepare for PCAC conference games in January & February.

Please click here to view the remaining men’s basketball game schedule as we would love to see you at a home game!

From all of us, to all of you….
