FORE a Kingdom Cause

FORE! Another New Hope Classic is in the books—and once again, the generosity of our community was on full display as friends and supporters of New Hope Christian College came together for a great day of golf and an even greater purpose.

Hosted at Emerald Valley Golf Course and presented by Skeie’s Jewelers, our annual tournament supports a mission at the heart of New Hope Christian College: investing in students who are following God’s call to make an eternal difference in the Church, ministry, and marketplace.

And we couldn’t have asked for a better day. The Pacific Northwest weather showed off with a beautiful, crisp morning as golfers warmed up and teams headed out to their starting holes for a four-person scramble. From there, the course was filled with friendly competition and plenty of connection. But by the end of the day, the number we were most excited about wasn’t found on a scorecard.

Together, this year’s New Hope Classic raised $85,000 for NHCC student scholarships.

For some of our students, scholarship support is what makes attending NHCC possible. Every dollar raised helps students continue their education, discover their calling, develop as leaders, and gain practical, hands-on experience for the places God is calling them to serve. That practical experience was already happening on the golf course.

Our students and interns weren’t simply attending the tournament—they were helping make it happen. They served throughout the event and had the opportunity to meet and talk with business owners, ministry leaders, and professionals from our community. Those relationships are such a gift. Our students get to learn from people who have spent years leading, building businesses, serving the Church, and putting their faith into practice.

That is part of what we love about the New Hope Classic. The investment in our students isn’t limited to the money raised. It also happens through conversations, relationships, encouragement, and people who are willing to come alongside the next generation.

The investment made through this tournament will continue in classrooms, churches, ministries, businesses, and communities as NHCC students step into the places God has called them to lead and serve.
