Delivery Systems

NHCC Distance Education is all about versatility. By providing multiple learning models and delivery systems, we're making learning as convenient and effective as possible. Most Leadership in Ministry certificate courses will include on-demand video recorded lectures as a primary mode for delivering course content and instruction. These videos are recorded using the latest in video technology with the capability of integrating lecture, slides, charts, outlines, and other medium into the video presentations. These are uploaded to a server that allow individual students to stream the video to their own personal computers, or cohorts have the option of showing the videos to a group of students on a large screen or through a projector.

TRADITIONAL - INTERACTIVE
Although the content for online courses at NHCC is primarily video driven, some distance education courses are offered in a traditional interactive online format. These classes include a significant amount of interaction between the course instructor and the student regarding the content covered in lectures, as well as a wide variety of assignments that engage and assess student learning.

INDEPENDENT STUDY - CORRESPONDENCE
Many of the courses offered online at NHCC are in an independent-study format. These courses have regular assignments and benchmarks to track and assess students throughout the duration of their course, but they do not have required interactive components between the instructor and the student. These courses offer a high degree of flexibility to meet a wide variety of scheduling needs.
