Message from the Chancellor

February 1, 2017

Allow me to share some exciting news!
The next few months will provide us with great progress for the future of our wonderful and historical college!

Dear Family, Friends, and Alumni,

Some time ago, a mutual friend introduced me to Dr. John Jackson, President of William Jessup University (formerly San Jose Bible College) in northern California.  Over the past year, we have been in earnest discussions about a mutual partnership with these two great institutions.

I am thrilled to announce the beginnings of a partnership that will make both colleges even greater in quality and expanse as we train up exemplary Christian leaders.  As we begin 2017, William Jessup University (regionally accredited with over 1500 students) will begin partnering with New Hope Christian College.  Current courses will continue but in addition to this, WJU plans to begin a process of offering expanded courses, both online and onsite, at our NHCC campus.  When authorized by the regional accreditors, these courses will become regionally accredited and fully recognized.  Furthermore, WJU will begin an articulation process that will allow students currently enrolled in NHCC degree programs to transfer many of their completed course credit hours into a parallel WJU degree program.  In the interim, NHCC students will be able to enroll in high quality on-line programs not yet offered on our campus, such as a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Leadership.

We are working diligently to insure a sustainable financial plan for NHCC.  In the next few months we should see several initiatives on our campus and we hope to announce many new degrees and programs available at NHCC beginning in this 2017 Fall semester.

I will continue to serve as the Chancellor of NHCC and we will work with Dr. Jackson to lead our campus, to speak in churches, and to meet with our donors and alumni.  We are going to be working with the NHCC Board and hope to appoint a new Campus President by late spring of this year.

On the evening of March 8th, Dr. John Jackson and I will be unveiling these exciting plans for our future at our annual gala.  This is a defining moment in our college’s history and we want you to be a part of it.  Watch for more exciting news from New Hope Christian College.

Under His Care,
